The residential takes place on Tuesday 5th August returning on Friday 8th August. All food and accommodation is provided and transport cost will be covered for you. During the residential we will be undertaking in a variety of youth arts activities and creative challenges.
Introduction to MUTM
Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company Ltd is a not for profit organisation which has been established to offer dynamic theatre making experiences to young people, to increase opportunities for newly graduated theatre practitioners and create an inclusive company for innovative theatre that reaches out to new diverse audiences breathing life into theatre in Carmarthenshire and beyond.
Mess Up The Mess successfully uses theatre creatively to inspire and engage young people through transformative learning experiences. We empower them to:
- Express themselves, have their voices heard and celebrated
- Develop key transferable personal and social skills
- Play and active part in their community
- Make informed choices about the issues that affect their lives
- Reach their potential
- Have fun in a healthy environment
We motive young people through bespoke bilingual creative projects and experiences that respond to their needs, concerns and interests and challenge the to take the lead. Project models include:
- Issue based workshops and productions from a play in a day to full length productions
- Film or music projects
- Peer Leader Training
- Representation at National and International Events
- Work placements
Introduction to Peer Leader Volunteer Training
Welcome to MUTM’s Peer Leader Volunteer Training, PLVT for short, on the 4 days you will be develop the skills to become a Peer Leader.
On this residential you will participate in sessions such as Equality and diversity, Child protection, Leadership, Group dynamics, Team building, Health and safety, Inclusive approaches, Challenging behavior and Communication.
By doing this residential you will:
- Develop your skills as a role model
- Develop your ability in assisting and leading workshops
- Learn about yourselves
- Build your own skills
- Improve your confidence

Specific Location: Christ College Brecon
Date: 5th – 8th August 2024
Cost: No fee – Money will not be needed as we will be staying in the venue.
